This pair of one day workshops was designed for a team primarily made up of underwriters, analysts and product management specialists. The team members saw themselves as “numbers” rather than “words” people. As a result, the department head was concerned that they lacked clarity when communicating internally.
The training addressed the delegates’ objectives to be better influencers in person and on the page. One day was dedicated to exploring ways of handling demanding individuals from other departments; diffusing conflict; and persuading people across departmental lines, at meetings and in informal encounters. A further day focused on enabling them to write more effective e-mails that would persuade the recipient to take action, and also to create more credible, professional reports.
